The Caucasus direction — a mountain road to Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan

Transport to the Caucasus — Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan

Trade with Georgia, Armenia or Azerbaijan usually breaks down over the same things: a load too small for a full trailer, clearances at several borders, and a chain of subcontractors nobody controls. We built the Caucasus route in Motiva Group precisely against these three problems — as one coordinated chain the group is accountable for, not a collection of anonymous subcontractors.

This route is run by Euro Cargo Line — a Motiva group company with a dedicated service for the Caucasus and Central Asia.

From a single pallet to a full load

We carry groupage (LTL) consolidated into regular departures and full loads (FTL) on the Poland/EU ↔ Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan route, reaching into Central Asia. The main route runs from Katowice to Tbilisi via the RO-RO crossing Constanța–Poti. Picking and documents are closed by our customs hub in Katowice (the ALB bonded warehouse) before the cargo heads east.

We take the language and cultural barriers on ourselves

We handle communication and formalities on both sides of the route so they’re one less problem on your side. We combine knowledge of the Caucasus realities with the group’s procedural rigour.

Medium Trade Program — for transactions of EUR 10,000–50,000

Mid-sized transactions are usually too small for the big operators and too hard for local carriers. Our program brings order to handling them: one contract, one coordinator and one accountability for the whole route. We tailor the scope of care to the specific transaction at the quoting stage.

Why the Caucasus, why now

Trade between the European Union and the Caucasus is growing, and Georgia has free-trade agreements with the EU and EFTA. The Middle Corridor — the land bridge between Europe and Central Asia that bypasses the northern routes — is gaining importance. It’s a good moment to set up logistics on this route with a partner who knows it from the inside.

Frequently asked questions

How long does transport from Poland to Georgia take? It depends on the route and crossing — we’ll give a realistic deadline at the quoting stage, because an honest schedule is better than an optimistic one. Regular departures let you plan cyclical deliveries.

Do you handle clearances in the Caucasus? Yes — full documentation handling of border crossings on both sides, and on the EU side we work with ALB’s customs infrastructure in Katowice.

I only have one pallet — is that for you? Yes. Groupage consolidation is our specialty; this is how the route started.
